Since making his concert debut at the age of eight, he has performed as a pianist and conductor in all major concert venues in Britain and abroad. He has conducted many major orchestras and opera companies, such as the London Symphony Orchestra, the National Chamber Opera of Australia, Toulon Opera, L'Orchestra Royal de Wallonie, Opera de Normandie, often at major international festivals such as Verona, Aix-en-Provence, Orange, the Mozart Festival of Cannes, Sydney, Athens and Vienna.

He has twice won Musician of the Year, and twice won both the Gold Medal and the Robert Stolz Award in Vienna.

He currently divides his time between England and France, where he was formerly the Artistic Director of the Bordeaux International Choir, and still continues busy schedule of masterclasses throughout Europe, America and Australia. He was appointed Artistic Director of the Festival of Crete in 2006.
